Who The Daisy™ Helps

Nurse Sarah

Nurse Sarah

Nurse Sarah

Nurse talking with a woman patient who is in a bed.

Sarah often faces the physically and emotionally demanding task of assisting residents with toileting and personal hygiene, which is a significant part of her day.

She is concerned about the dignity and independence of residents, especially those with mobility and cognitive impairment who may find personal care distressing.

Mike

Nurse Sarah

Nurse Sarah

A black male wheelchair user in an office with a laptop on his lap.

Mike is a 52-year-old, college degree holder, who works from home due to mobility and accessibility challenges.

His inability to twist means he cannot use traditional or portable bidets.

The constraints around maintaining personal hygiene force Mike to purchase 150 pairs of cotton underwear each year, a significant mental health, financial, and logistical burden.

Jeanie

Nurse Sarah

Jeanie

An old woman in her bed, looking sad.

Jeanie's life, marked by independence despite Parkinson's, was dramatically altered by a fall causing sepsis and a near-death experience, leading to dialysis.

Jeanie's reliance on others for personal care deepens her feelings of embarrassment and impacts her dignity, mental health, and self-esteem.

Nathan

Sayid and Jamie

Jeanie

An obese white male in his garden.

Nathan is a 68 year old, construction retiree.  He is severely obese and has recently been diagnosed with osteoporosis.

Nathan finds traditional bathroom systems increasingly challenging to use due to his mobility issues.

It is highly likely he will require bariatric surgery.

He prefers modern, adaptable solutions that cater to his specific needs.

Alex

Alex is a 21 year old college student and part-time environmental blogger.

They are deeply concerned about the effects of global warming and the sustainability of the planet.

Alex represents a young, environmentally conscious individual deeply concerned about the planet's future and motivated to adopt and advocate for sustainable living practices.

Two men talking outside 1 wearing a green shirt & the other in a red-and-white checkered headscarf

In the Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020, Sayid, an Arab American convinced his friend Jamie to get a bidets.

Jamie was thinking about the environmental hazards of toilet paper anyway.

Jamie's journey from skepticism to advocacy for bidets underscores the potential for lifestyle changes inspired by crises to foster long-term shifts in consumer behavior and environmental awareness.
